School Ball Expos - Free Entry for Students!

Sponsored by The Edge, these expos are primarily targeted at students (and their adult supervisors) who are responsible for planning their ball. These students are the key decision makers when it comes to booking venues, catering, entertainment, photographers and more, but they will also be ball guests who have the ability to influence their peers by recommending hairdressers, suit hire companies, make-up artists, dressmaking and dress hire companies, and promoting your services to their fellow students.

There is no charge for students to attend planning expos. These expos are held during the week after school (between 3 – 6 pm), and schools must pre-register their attendance. Nibbles and drinks are provided for the students.

All students are given a goody bag as they arrive, and there are also sponsored giveaways throughout the expo. Goody bags will include a School Ball Supplier Guide, containing all exhibitors contact details, and exhibitors are encouraged to provide students with incentives to use and promote your services (i.e. discount vouchers, free product) – these may be given away from your stand, or included in the goody bags.

The expo begins with a forum session, approximately one hour long. www.schoolball.co.nz will invite several key suppliers to address the students during this time. Students are also given planning advice, and can ask "the experts" any questions they may have.

After the forum session concludes, the expo shifts to a "trade show" style, where students can move around the exhibitors and ask questions relating directly to the various services on offer.
